Cloudy ....

10th September 2025 (Wednesday)     08.30 .... Showers are forecast for today, and they could

turn thundery later in the afternoon.  Unfortunately, I began my morning with a migraine, and that will curtail my activities  for most of the morning.  I won't be going out on the bike, nor the buggy today;  unless the sunny spells between the showers are long ones.    Right now I need another cuppa ... and a  'Blob' digestive to shove down the pills.

13.00    Ivy Cottage door bell rang a couple of ours ago and I expected to find Bob or Anne there when I opened the door.... and was totally surprised to find Ian, whom I thought was still touring the Highlands, on his  way to, eventually, ending up at Heathrow!    Ian did quite a bit of the Highlands, having got as far as Skye, before getting 'homesick' for Elie and Earlsferry.   He was lucky enough to get back into 'his' flat at 'The Stables', as there had been a cancellation;  and will be around Elie and Earlsferry until Monday.

We had a great time chatting about Ian' s memories of Elie and Earlsferry during the war.   Ian went to Elie School (Annie Don's class), his older brother Les went to the Waid.   Ian wants to have a look round Largo and Lundin Links tomorrow.

19.30    It has been strange old day.  The migraine I slept off in the afternoon, but the cooler East wind is bothersome, so I never went further than the pavement.   It was actually quite warm on the patio. After sleeping off the migraine, I had a browsing session, through a bit of the 'Alberto Archive';  which is where today's photos are from.   I find that browsing the archive is one of the most relaxing things I do:  that and taking photographs to keep topping up the archive!

22.30  I'd forgotten to water the flower tubs this evening;  but, lucky 'me'.... it has been raining so 'job

done'.   The wind has been from the SE for the past couple of days, but is veering to the SW tomorrow so I should get a bit further than the pavement.    We're (Ian and I) are going to Lower Largo and Lundin Links in the morning;  and I'm hoping we can go to Methil to pick up Alice, then onto Dysart Harbour to have lunch at the old Harbour Master's house.
