11th March 2025 (Tuesday) 08.30 .... We have a lovely, bright and sunny, Spring morning.
There's a cool breeze from the NW, but it will be warm sheltered from the wind. Actually there's a wintry feel to the air ,which you can get at this time of year (remember 1947), but any snow will be on the higher mountains. I should get out on the bike in the afternoon.21.30 It has been a nice albeit cold day: but too cold for me going out on the bike. I went to Lorraine's and had my haircut, then went on the Methil to visit Alice; and go the the kirk Community Centre for lunch. There's a steady flow of people come in; and they are a friendly bunch. We went back to Alice's for a cup o' coffee before I made my way back to Ivy. A very enjoyable morning.
Back at Ivy I made myself a cuppa and did some tidying up then settled down for a well earned catnap. I woke up thinking of the washing I'd hung out this morning; it was near enough dry even though we'd had a light shower. Anyway I brought it is and ironed it.
Having had roast beef with all the trimmings for lunch (and Passion Fruit cheesecake) I didn't heed to have very much in the evening. I have a pill to take, at night with food, so I had a turkey sandwich.22.30 Tomorrow is going to be a 'work' day. I'll do the rest of the bedding (the weather forecast is reasonable but not a perfect drying day) .... and take time out to go biking if it isn't too cold.
I went out in the car to get a few late afternoon photographs, The car has it's uses, but isn't ideal. With the bike I can stop whenever I see something I want to record (and that's near enough everything around Elie and Earlsferry). Although the weather is lovely I am not enjoying this cold spell.
