Cloudy .....
31st March 2025 (Monday) 07.15 .... It's cloudy just now, but the weather forecast is good;
"sunny with a gentle breeze". Sunrise was at 06.45 so the the sun isn't very high in the sky yet; once it's higher we will have a lovely day. It's quiet jut now, I don't think 'Blob' has got used to the clock change yet! I certainly know that I haven't! Anyway I'm up, the auld bones have clicked into into a near vertical state, so I'm ready to start my 'today'.21.30 I think I could become used to weather like it has been today; 'sunny and warm'. Yes I like that! Queen bumble bees were all over the place, prospecting for nest sites. I don't think I have ever seen so many in one day. Where was I? At sand dunes at the edge of Leven beach! Leven beach is beautiful beach... and bug. It stretches all the way to Lundin Links and Lower Largo. As with our beach people were out walking, most of them with dogs.

The black dot in the sky is a bumble bee! |
When I got back to Ivy I found new signage saying that Earlsferry High Street was closed to traffic and Ferry Road was part of the diversion. However I was able to get moored up near the gate, so no problem unloading the messages. Messages unloaded and away, I made a cuppa then fell sound asleep .... for just over an hour.
The 'plan' was to go out on the bike in the afternoon, but by the time I'd woken up the sky was clouding over, and the breeze was chilly. I didn't go biking; but, after a wakening up coffee, I watered the tubs.
I put up the photo with the Bumble Bee in it because I have never seen so many Queen Bumble Bees in
one place before: they were all over the place. And 'dots' in other photographs. I certainly was the perfect day for them being 'out and about'. That's Kincraig cliffs in the background.The next few days are to be warm and sunny, in fact warmer than today. I have to go to the Skeith Centre but that shouldn't take too long. I intend going biking in the middle of the day tomorrow, assuming that that is the hottest time of the day, as it was today.
