Overcast, breezy and cold ....
29th March 2025 08.45 .... We could have a few sunny spells in the morning, but a freshening
wind (F 7) with rain is forecast for the afternoon, and through to Sunday morning. The bike won't be leaving the shed until Monday! I'll change the clocks to 'Summer' time ..... and potter around Ivy.14.30 I'd half hoped to see the partial eclipse of the sun through the clouds, but the clouds were too thick at the time. However I enjoyed a walk, with the Hurdy Gurdy. Using it takes the weight of my knee .... and... I can have a seat at any time. It's definitely beneficial as far as 'walking' goes..... it gives me some exercise. I remember Jimmy took a while to get round to using it; and I am the same. I feel that I should be able to 'walk' without it, but it makes a huge difference. Anyway I went out at 10.45 up to the golf course then home by way of Rotten row. The 'HG' is hard work on grass. I can see the sun through the clouds now; but the eclipse event is finished.
The wind freshened, then the rain came on about 13,30, but it's not all that bad just now. That said, I won't be going to the beach.
Actually I took a lot of photographs when out, so I'm going to sort them out. Before doing that I'm going to make a cuppa.
19.00 The afternoon was bright and breezy, earlier, breezy and and wet just now. And cold. It sound like it's going to be a wild night actually.
I've been watching the Women's Six Nations Rugby.... Wales v England. I know I don't like watching women playing rugby; but it was an exciting game. England won 12 - 67; and now in the modern world and watching Ladies Rugby.
21.30 I've changed most of the clocks; there's only the big one in the kitchen and my watch to do andthey will be done in the morning I need to get the step ladder for the kitchen clock. When I think of it we lose an hours sleep tonight; that means I'd be better making the Horlicks and go to bed early. I'm enjoying my Donna Leon book, and spending an early night wandering around Venice with Commissario Brunetti, is very appealing. Yes; it's bedtime!
