Overcast and breezy ....

26th March 2025 (Wednesday)     08.15 .... The sky is overcast just now, but the cloud will

move away to give us a, "sunny with  moderate Westerly breeze" day.      It's chilly just now, but should will be warmer by morning coffee time.... but always cool out in the open.  This is going to be a rest day for me.

We have the Chancellor of the Exchequer doing her Spring 'Statement' today;  that could be interesting.   I don't suppose she'll cut MP's perquisites .... or freebies.  She could put a tax on lining material for deep pockets!

12.00    The car was pointing North so I went up Ferry Road intending to go to Elie, but changed my mind and went  to 'The Store' (Ainster), via Kinneuchar and Balbuthie for a change of scenery, and hoping to meet some Ainster fold in the shop.   I didn't see anyone I knew, so that bit was a failed mission:  however the shopping was success:  and I came home by way of the Kellie Castle road.... so the change of scenery was also a success.   I'm a 'happy boy'.

The sun has broken through and it's much warmer, but there is wind chill;  however, I think the bike will be out in the afternoon, if the wind doesn't freshen.

14.30    Well... The Spring 'Statement' was exciting;  I fell asleep.   Anyway the only 'benefit' I get is the State Pension.   Actually I object to it being called a benefit, because I worked hard for 50 years and paid full NI contributions over that time, as the vast majority of people did. ... and I have a small private pension!   The only actual  thing I get is the 'Bloo Badge'.   So the 'Statement' won't make much difference to me;  apart from Income Tax.  Oh, and this has nothing to do with 'RR' and her Statement .... the wind freshened so the bike is back in the shed again.    I'm going for a wee run in the car instead.  After a cuppa of course.

21.30    I've had a restful and relaxing day.  The daffodils on the way into Kinneuchar from the West are looking really good, so I went up there to take a few shots of them.... and of Balcarres crag with 'The Paddock's' housing development in the foreground.   The real bonus was when Barbara appeared, on her pony, and I was able to get a couple of photographs.    The camera came up with "Battery needs changing":  luckily you can get up to half a dozen photos after that,  if you give the battery a minute or two to 'recover'.

Tomorrow's weather is going to be ... well ... damp.   Luckily I am going to Methil to visit Alice, and

we'll do a wee bit of shopping.   Leven has a variety of shops and I want to go to B and M's.  Right now I don't remember what it is I actually want to go there for, but I'll remember when I get there.    I hope.

I've been out at the bucket and the air is much colder, and not just because the sun set a while ago.
