Beautiful morning .....

15th March 2025 (Saturday)    09.15 ..... It's sunny (wall to wall blue sky) with a light Westerly

breeze;  the bonniest morning we've had for a while, and warmer than of late.   I don't know when 'the Troops' will appear, but I hope to have a quick run 'roond the Ferrie' at some point, probably later in the afternoon.

21.30   Jackie, Iain and Catriona arrived about 10.30, (I'd just put the kettle on) so we had a cuppa and made a 'plan for today.    Steven, Hazel and Sorley  were on their way down from Inverness and would meet us at the Cupar Garden Centre... where we were had lunch to celebrate my birthday and Iain's.   One thing we all noticed was how popular the Garden Centre restuarant is;  it was going all the time we were in there.  Mind you the food is excellent, so I can understand why it's popular.    We enjoyed our lunch (the service was a wee bit slow), but all our different choices arrived at the same time..... and well worth waiting for!

We bought plants for the patio which Jackie and Iain are going to plant out tomorrow before going back home to Auchnagatt.   From Cupar we went back to Ivy and had a cuppa before Sorley had his first visit to the 'Royal Beach'.  It wasn't surprising to find the beach busy, on what was really beautiful, and warm, warm Spring day.   I didn't make it onto the actual beach, choosing to sit on Nana's Seat and bask in the warm sun.

It's amazing how fast a 'baby' suddenly becomes a small boy!   Sorley looks about him and you can see that he is thinking.   That is what I also noticed about Henry... the speed of the change from baby to boy.

Iain and I are going to Kirkcaldy to buy a new vacuum cleaner (alias hoover).   The one I is falling to bits.   We will also buy another couple of bags of compost for the patio tubs.   While Iain and I are at Kirkcaldy, Jackie is going to plant out what she can with the bag of compost that she bought today!

It was great having all the North (Auchnagatt and Inverness) 'Troops' together again;  and seeing Ivy

Cottage living room full.   Oh... I'm trying to teach Sorley to say "Royal Burgh";  and; he has already mastered the "urgh" part of Burgh!
