Nice morrrrrrrrrrrning ....
12th March 2025 (Wednesday) 09.30 .... It's lovely, "sunny with a brisk, (and cold) wind",
morning. And, if we miss the showers mentioned in the forecast, it's a perfect drying day for the sheets I have on the line. We had a light shower earlier but the sky is clear just now. Unfortunately it's too cauld, and windy, for me biking just now, but it might be better later in the afternoon.20.30 I've spent most of the day with the bedding. The sheets have been washed, and ironed. I had a slight mishap with one of them; I took in one of the sheets (the other one wasn't quite dry) and made myself a cuppa. As is usual in the early afternoon I fell asleep. I woke up to find it had been raining and the sheet I'd left out was wetter than it had been. Luckily the showers cleared away and the sheet dried; as did the downie cover. The sheets have been ironed; but I'm not going to iron the downie cover. I have that much trouble getting the downie into the cover that ironing it would be a waste of time. I do not like
It was always too cold for me biking; and I was busy with the big bedroom bed. I thought about going for a run in the car but ended up watching James May with a model glider instead. I remember when Maggie and I lived in Edinburgh (we rented two room in a flat in Morningside) and I decided to build a model glider. It had a three foot wingspan, and to make it I needed a big board to pin the 'plan' onto. I didn't know where I'd get what needed, but being a resourceful boy I took the back off the wardrobe. It was perfect.... and I set about making the glider. Well .... it wasn't finished when Maggie and I decided to move back to Earlsferry. We flitted over a few weekends (a hire car), and the flitting included the board with the glider plans on it. I'd forgotten all about the wardrobe!
