Lovely morrrrrrrrning ....
9th March 2025 (Sunday) 08.30 .... It's a lovely sunny morning; sunny with a light breeze from
the ENE so, although light, its a cold breeze. Today is last day of the warm spell we've had; the wind is backing to the North, bring cold air and mixed weather from the Arctic... and it's already here. Forget all that cold stuff; today is sunny and warm out of the wind... and a 'play day'. The Fife Weather cams are all showing mist at the moment; but the sun should burn that off in a wee while. The bike is ready for action.... and so am I after a long hot shower! That said, it is slightly colder this morning, so I might not be going very far.15.00 We've had a lovely Spring day; sunny and warm, especially on the patio. Out in the open there's a cool breeze to contend with, but nothing much. Anyway a warm jacket keeps the wind out, so I donned such a jacket, and I up to Kinneuchar for a change of scene. I had thought of going out to Balbuthie then home by Elie but I wasn't sure if the bike battery would do that distance. Battery assisted bikes are very hard to pedal with an empty battery; and I didn't fancy doing that. I was busy with the camera when Shona came along (in her car). She stopped and we had a long chat before going our separate ways; I will bike up to see her next week sometime.... weather permitting. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a packet of Tunnock's Tea Cakes, planning on visiting Shona. However someone has opened the packet and a few of them have disappeared! Now I'm wondering where the missing ones are?
21.30 I watched the rugby in the afternoon, and moved my stuff into the wee bedroom for the summer, but the evening has been lazy. For a start I fell asleep after dinner.
The weather is supposed to be colder tomorrow but I intend biking up to Chapel Green at least; got tokeep going now that I've started. We're to have 'strong winds with rain' in the morning; a wild and wet morning, so any biking will be done after lunch. I have the big bedroom bed to strip so I'll do that in the morning.
'The Paddocks' housing development at Colinsburgh is beginning to be noticeable. I wonder if any of the houses will be second homes? I'm wondering if I could make it up Balcarres Crag in the better weather? I could bike so far if the path was dry. It would certainly be a challenge!
