Sunny and warm ....

12th August 2026 (Wednesday)      10.15 .... It's already warm out, so it's going to be hot this afternoon:  a lovely day for the beach... or golf course.    Me? ..... I'll potter around Ivy.    I've taken the pills, so now ready to 'work';  work on the computer, because it will be too hot for me outside.   I've been as far as the gate, and will open The Hutte up after this update;  but won't be sitting in there very long! 

13.45     I've been a busy boy on the computer:  dealt with a couple of official emails, and had a browse in the Alberto Archive.    I'm now going to have something to eat.

20.00    It has been too hot for me today;  I opened up The Hutte but never spent any time sitting out there.   That reminds I must remember to close The Hutte door after this update.

'Then'.
I've had someone trying to get me on the mobile phone about five times today;  I think it's someone from the Community Alarm office.    The problem is, by the time I've got the phone organised the person at the other end has gone:  and when I try to phone them I get a message saying;  "you don't have to phone back, we will try again later!.   I think it might be an automatic call up machine.     I guess they will try again tomorrow.

I've been watching the eclipse of the sun on the BBC News Channel:  I have yet to look at the photos I got off the TV,, but Michael set it at HD so they will be sharp enough! 

'Now'.
Although a bit too hot for me today, I'm sure that the fold on holiday will have enjoyed this weather.  Thundery showers are mentioned for us tomorrow afternoon;   after a sunny morning.   My pills are doing their job, and I am starting to  feel frisky;  well... almost frisky.    Actually they do make me feel like doing things.   Unfortunately I'm nor as able as I was when I had them a few years ago

I'm going to try to catch the phone call  (I think it's the Community Alarm Office) that I kept making a mess of today.   I'll put the mobile on charge after this update.

Quiet morning ....

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.
