Nice morning ....

1st August 2026 (Saturday)     08.30 .... We have cloud,  with occasional light drizzle just now, but"sunny intervals with a fresh WSW breeze" is the weather forecast for KY9 today;  so a nice day for our holiday makers.    'The Troops' are out;  I think Emily said they were going to the beach;  I didn't have my hearing aids in at the time.    

10.15    Emily, John and  the Boys are off to the Festival (Pittenweem), to see their friend Tori Ratcliffe at (Venue 45);  Pet Portrait and Wildlife Artist.   Me?..... I'm in the middle of doing a very hard Soduko in The Hutte.    Actually there is a cool feel to the air;  when I think about it this is the first day of August, and there are only 145 days until Christmas!   No wonder the air feels colder!

19.00     'The Troops' enjoyed their time at Pittenweem Festival;  but, there was a cool breeze at the harbour.    My morning had begun with a migraine so that dictated what I did;  sat in the Hutte, did Soduko's, and cat napped.   I'll be bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow.                                      Henry and Austin have been buzzin' since they arrive back from Pittenweem.  I'm amazed at how active they both are;  Austin isn't quite walking yet, but is on the point of taking his first steps.   They certainly keep Emily and John 'active';  when they are both walking Emily and John will have to be super active!   

23.00     It was such a nice evening that John fancied a swim , so I gave Emily took my camera to get some photographs of the beach;  and of John in the water.      I was i/c the Troops:  they were tucked up in bed and sound asleep!   Emily gave me her phone number so that should I get into a 'Flap On' state, I could contact her.    I didn't have to because the Troops were sound asleep after a hectic day tiring 'Daddy and Mummy out!

The Troops are going home on Monday, so tomorrow will be spent getting some photographs of  them all. 
 I might get 'The buggy out and go up to Chapel Green.    The weather is forecast to be 'excellent' but cool.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.

Nice morrrrrrrrrrning .....

4th April 2026 (Saturday)     09.40 .... We have a bright and breezy' morning;  a good morning for the joggers (been there done that.... and i wish I could do it now) that were out early.    I shall have morning coffee in 'The Hutte, because although the sky is cloudier now that it was earlier, we still have sunny spells, but light rain showers are mentioned in the weather forecast for KY9:  with gales overnight into Saturday morning. 14.45    I've been doing some research;  and playing with the pictures I got, off the Photo Frame, last night.    The weather has deteriorated ans we not have an overcast sky, with occasional spells of light rain;  and the wind has freshened a bit.    I'm going to make a fresh cuppa, then settle down to watch the News.     And have my afternoon catnap!   I blame the cat that meandered in yesterday;  it reminded me that I enjoy a catnap! 19.30  ...
