Nice morning ......

11th  August 2026 (Tuesday)      09.45 .... It's a lovely morning;  there's a bit of light cloud about
with loads of sunny intervals.   Perfect weather for the beach.   I'm planning on having a 'rest' day;  then I remembered the last time I was on Prednisolone Tablets!   That time (10 years ago), I took them with my evening meal.    Later on in the evening I decided to 'Spring' clean the bookcases.    I began to do that at 21.00,  enjoying myself so much that I kept going until after 03.00 next morning.   My cousin Jimmy up in Aberdeenshire was on them at the dame time, and he also couldn't stop working!   So I'm taking them (the pills)  at breakfast time.  If I do go into 'work mode', I don't think I'll be tackling the book cases!   With this pill,  'Work Mode' starts on Day two.

20.30   I've had a quirt, relaxing day.   Alice came along (by bus) in the morning, bringing a 'picnic' Lunch with her.     I  had the kettle 'on' so we had a cuppa when she arrived;  then went up to The Hutte and caught up with each other's news.   I've just remembered that I have the dishwasher to switch on.... and I'll  switch on the kettle at the same time.  

Heather and Alistair have just left having dropping in for a short visit.  They'll have more time next weekend;  and Iain will be here then.

 We have a lot of butterfly's enjoying the warm sun just now:  I had two Painted Lady's, a Large White, and two Peacocks on the bush up at the Hutte, but it was too windy to get a photo to use.   I eventually  got a Painted Lady and a Large White basking in the sun.

It has been a warm day, though cool in the breeze:  and is going to be warm overnight so I think that the

fan may well be 'on' at low, all night.    And it is forecasting 'hot' for tomorrow!    I have no plan for tomorrow;    waiting to see what effect the pills have.:  I might be 'working'.    One thing I do know;  they (the pills) are clearing my breathing tubes!

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.
