Light cloud .....

27th August 2026 (Thursday)     09.15 .... It's a grey morning at present, but it's dry;   but lightrain could come our way in the afternoon.   No mention of 'sunny spells' in the forecast!   I had a good night's sleep, though I woke up a couple of times for a drink of water;  but didn't wake up at 04.00.   I woke up at 07.15. extricated myself from my comfy bed, got 'up' and showered.    I've had breakfast, all I need now is another cuppa!  

20.00    That's the RSV jab at the Randolph Wemyess done;  all I need now, to be ready for the winter, are the flu and COVID boosters.   Anyway I went to 'Alice HQ' where we had a cuppa, before going across to visit Alice's friend Barbara.   Barbara broke her arm a few weeks ago and is well on the mend.  We chatted about a variety of subjects, then Alice and I went back to Alice's to have sandwich lunch, before going to the Randolph Wemyess.  

At the Randolph Wemyess the Waiting Room was quiet, so we didn't have to wait long.   The Nurse explained that I'd probably be hot in bed tonight (must remember the fan) and that I might have headache.   So far the only 'side effect' is falling asleep.   That isn't a bad side effect;  I'll catch up with the lost sleep of the past few nights.   

Although it's gloomy looking now, the weather has been kind, with sunny spells in the middle of the day.  Light rain is forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning.   I have appointments with two Nurses at the Surgery tomorrow;  one for a Blood Test, and the other with my 'new' Asthma Nurse.  

I've been watching the horrifying, and catastrophic, flash floods in Nepal;  it's scary seeing the power
behind the flood as it takes out buildings and bridges.   My thoughts are with all the folk that lost loved ones, to the terrifying wall of water, mud, debris and death, that came so suddenly came upon them.  We're lucky living where we do!... aye, even in cold and damp Winter!

Oops;  my day is ending with a migraine.   I'll take a couple of paracetamol at bedtime;  and should feel playful tomorrow.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.
