Sunny ....

14th April 2026 (Tuesday)     09.30 .... we have 'wall to wall' blue sky this morning,;  and there's

only a light breeze so it's warm.   I'm thinking of getting 'The Buggy' out after morning coffee.   The 'plan' for today is, work on the Old Pier drawing, and perhaps start of the next one.   'Blob' was twittering from the top of the apple tree this morning, so he is content.   I'm feeling content too! ..... and will be even more content after another cuppa.

16.15    After a lovely morning, the sky has clouded over in the past couple of hours;  and there's a chilly air.   I think some rain is due to come our way, later.    I've been busy today, having done the ironing, and some housework, before going out to potter around in 'The Hutte... with the pencils.    The pier drawing looks better with a bit of colour.

18.45    The rain has arrived, but it's only light stuff .... and the air is warmer.    I set of to have a saunter down to Nana's seat, but decided against that when I got to Ferry Cornier;  the wind had freshened and it was cauld!    There's still a lot of strangers about, but I don't think they'd be down on the beach!   I went back to Ivy, sorted out the photographs;  then went out to, 'Then back out to 'The Hutte' and 'worked'.

The war with Iran started with President Trump looking for regime change, after the massacre of thousands of Iranian protesters.   Most people around the World are still looking for regime change;  but now in the USA!    Why?.... for inflicting the worry of the cost of living on people all over the World!    But there is hope;  the Pakistan talks are going to resume in a few days.   If President Trump wants to come out of this war with any credibility he'll let his team do diplomacy' and allow them to work  towards a 'Peace' Agreement.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.

Windy and wet .....

4th August 2025 (Monday)    08.45 ....  It's breezy with light rain just now;  but the rain is going to move away and the wind freshen to 'gale', with sunny intervals and squally showers, by midday.   There could interesting clouds, and stormy seas.    I won't be going out on the bike!    High tide is at 11.20;  there will be an abundance of fresh air on the beach today.  11.00  The wind is freshening, from the SW, as can be seen in the photo of the 'Glenfuir' flags (Swiss, USA and Jersey).    Sunny intervals are starting to come over, so it's a bonnie enough day now, albeit breezy:  F5 - 6 with stronger gusts now and again. 19.30  It has certainly been a wild old day, but the wind is moderating, and tomorrow will be much quieter.   It was F8 - 9 at times out on the bay.   Which is why HMS Iron Duke (Type 23 frigate) is sheltering off Elie and Earlsferry.      HMS Iro...
