Nice morrrrrrrrrrning .....

4th April 2026 (Saturday)     09.40 .... We have a bright and breezy' morning;  a good morning for

the joggers (been there done that.... and i wish I could do it now) that were out early.    I shall have morning coffee in 'The Hutte, because although the sky is cloudier now that it was earlier, we still have sunny spells, but light rain showers are mentioned in the weather forecast for KY9:  with gales overnight into Saturday morning.

14.45    I've been doing some research;  and playing with the pictures I got, off the Photo Frame, last night.    The weather has deteriorated ans we not have an overcast sky, with occasional spells of light rain;  and the wind has freshened a bit.    I'm going to make a fresh cuppa, then settle down to watch the News.     And have my afternoon catnap!   I blame the cat that meandered in yesterday;  it reminded me that I enjoy a catnap!

19.30    I've just come in from having a ten minute lounge in The Hutte;  sort of thinking time.   Anyway I noticed that the wind is freshening, but it isn't raining;   The thing that surprised me was;  the wind isn't feel cold......, as in wintry cold.    Yet snow is forecast,for the mountain tops when 'Storm Dave' passes over us overnight.   Anyway.... I'm looking forward to Tuesday when the weather is going to be warm;  hopefully for a few weeks at least.   We need a spell of warm weather to shake off the winter ailments.

Ferry Road has been busy today;  with both vehicles;   and people walking... and even joggers in the morning.   Me? .... I didn't go further than the gate ... and everyone I saw when out there were 'strangers'.

The hatches have been battened down, in readiness for a breezy night.    Tomorrow will be another quiet
day for me.    I made today's lunch, and tomorrow's, this afternoon so I could have a lazy Sunday.   I'd take 'The Buggy'  out if the roads aren't busy, but I suspect they will be;  in which case I might take a turn round The Ferry on the bike.   Oh oh .... a migraine has just started.   Actually, this is the best time to have a migraine;  I'll take the pills and have a quiet evening, and get into bed early.   Tomorrow? .... I'll  be in 'play' mode!.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.

Windy and wet .....

4th August 2025 (Monday)    08.45 ....  It's breezy with light rain just now;  but the rain is going to move away and the wind freshen to 'gale', with sunny intervals and squally showers, by midday.   There could interesting clouds, and stormy seas.    I won't be going out on the bike!    High tide is at 11.20;  there will be an abundance of fresh air on the beach today.  11.00  The wind is freshening, from the SW, as can be seen in the photo of the 'Glenfuir' flags (Swiss, USA and Jersey).    Sunny intervals are starting to come over, so it's a bonnie enough day now, albeit breezy:  F5 - 6 with stronger gusts now and again. 19.30  It has certainly been a wild old day, but the wind is moderating, and tomorrow will be much quieter.   It was F8 - 9 at times out on the bay.   Which is why HMS Iron Duke (Type 23 frigate) is sheltering off Elie and Earlsferry.      HMS Iro...
