Nice morning ....

12th April 2026 (Sunday)     12.00 ....  It a bright and breezy morning;  but it isn't as cold as it was

yesterday.. ... however there is a chance of squally showers.   I've hung out a small washing, because it's actually a good drying day;  I'm relying on the showers missing us!

The Peace talks in Pakistan failed to come up with a 'Peace Plan' for the Middle East.   That's disappointing, but not surprising.   The strange thing about all this is;  I'm beginning to believe Iran!  A bad ending. to what was a good attempt at 'Giving Peace a chance'.   I'm going to have a late morning coffee then get back to 'work'!

20.00    Apart from a couple of showers in the afternoon we've had a nice day here at KY9.    I did some research, but couldn't really get going today because the cold I have has 'broken':  I should start to feel 'bright eyed and bushy tailed' tomorrow.    Hmmmm? .... maybe not tomorrow but definitely on Tuesday. 

Ferry Road has been today;  I guess this will still be Easter holidays for some fork.   I didn't go anywhere today, but I have kept up with the News.    (The Middle East talks being one of the main topics).  What does this mean for us? ..... probably faster escalating, food and petrol prices!    I have the feeling that President Trump has changed his mind about winning the Nobel Peace Prize!

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.

Windy and wet .....

4th August 2025 (Monday)    08.45 ....  It's breezy with light rain just now;  but the rain is going to move away and the wind freshen to 'gale', with sunny intervals and squally showers, by midday.   There could interesting clouds, and stormy seas.    I won't be going out on the bike!    High tide is at 11.20;  there will be an abundance of fresh air on the beach today.  11.00  The wind is freshening, from the SW, as can be seen in the photo of the 'Glenfuir' flags (Swiss, USA and Jersey).    Sunny intervals are starting to come over, so it's a bonnie enough day now, albeit breezy:  F5 - 6 with stronger gusts now and again. 19.30  It has certainly been a wild old day, but the wind is moderating, and tomorrow will be much quieter.   It was F8 - 9 at times out on the bay.   Which is why HMS Iron Duke (Type 23 frigate) is sheltering off Elie and Earlsferry.      HMS Iro...
