Bright and breezy ....

18th August 2026 (Saturday)     09.45 ..... I've been 'up and running'(?) since 06.45 this morning,

thinking of going to Nana's Seat for an early morning 'walk';  but it's to windy and cold to be out in the open.    It's a nice enough morning, with April Showers forecast;  that means 'sunny spells' in between the showers.    I'll most likely work in the, hopefully cosy, 'Hutte'.  There's 'work' that I want, and need, to do.

Today is the start of a spell of colder weather according to the BBC weather lassie (Elizabeth Rizzini) this morning.   We need a spell of warm weather to shake of the winter ailments.   I'm going to venture out to check the thermometer.

19.00    Apart from a couple of squally showers in the afternoon, we've had a nice day at KY9;  right enough it has been breezy with a bit windchill so not as warm as  I'd like.    However it was warm in 'The Hutte'.   And I made a load of progress:  drawing, and going out with the camera, are my ways of getting rid of stress.

I didn't go out with the camera today;  I was more interested in staying in and warm.  Actually I think my cold has 'broken' so I'm having a 'Janice Toddie' at bedtime.    Janice Toddies's have to be made with Malt whisky! ... it will be 'Tamnavulin' tonight!

It's a lovely evening;  in fact a jogger just pattered up Ferry Road;  it'a a nice evening for that.    I'd get The Buggy' out if I wasn't choked up.  Never mind;  tomorrow I might be out jogging!

I don't have a 'plan' for tomorrow;   I'll most likely stay warm, in 'The Hutte, and 'work'.     I might have a run along to the 'paper shop' to get a paper.... but will not. as in winnae' go to  the harbour!

President Trump has a strange way of going about getting the Nobel Peace Prize.   I imagine that the

Iran war will have nullified any chance of the 'Peace Prize'.   In the meantime we have a sort of 'ceasefire' in Lebanon,... and in Iran!  (I wonder if they have forests of Cedar of Lebanon Trees there in Lebanon?).

I've checked the Cedar pf Lebanon forests;  and they did exist hundreds of years ago.   Deforestation has thinned them down to scattered remnants! Nothing new there then!
