Nice morning ....

23rd April 2026 (Thursday)     "Happy St George's Day" to all my friends in 'Sunny England'!

09.00 .... Although the sky is mostly cloudy just now, we should end up with a nice sunny intervals day

once the sun gets going.    I haven't been further than the gate but it doesn't feel as cold as it was yesterday;  probably because there's only a light breeze.   Then 'plan' is.... to go to Methil and annoy Alice, then do a bit of shopping for Iain coming at the weekend,   I'll have another cuppa before I do anything else!

19.30     Apart from the chilly wind off the North Sea this has been another lovely,,sunny, Spring day.   As per 'plan' I went to Leven, and Methil.   The only hold up were the roadworks at Lundin Links.  Actually, there didn't seem to be anybody working on site;  the only movement I saw was when the traffic lights changed colour!   It was the same on the return journey.    I must add that the roads were busy!    I was well ready for a cuppa by the time got to Alice's HQ.

Apparently things have been quiet at Alice's corner of Methil;  there had been a fire somewhere,  that has caused traffic diversions.... and mair traffic on some local roads, but that was all.    I enjoyed a cuppa and catch up with Alice, before going to Leven.   Before the shopping we were going to Karen's', to have morning coffee on her new bit of garden furniture.   It's a braw, solid bit of furniture, that seats six.... and has a roof!    The coffee was excellent;  Karen has a coffee machine so the coffee was top quality.   I wonder if the machines do 'flat white'?   Anyway we enjoyed the coffee (and goodie);  and watching Karen's gardener trim the lawn.   I thought that watching someone working is relaxing .,.. but it isn't!     It reminded me of the jobs I can's do now!   Not that I have grass to cut at Ivy;  but even if I had I doubt if I could cut it!

Alice and I then went to Sainsbury's  to get some shopping done, then back up to 'AHQ', where Alice

made a toastie for lunch, and that was followed by a low calorie dessert!    Very enjoyable.  We then had an after lunch coffee, before I set off for home.  As expected, the only hindrance on the way home being the roadworks in Lundin Links.

Today's photies:  Top - waiting in the queue at Lundin Links.    Middle -  Grangehill,  and bottom - Chapel Green House.
