Nice morning ....

30th April 2026 (Thursday)      09.00 ..... It's bright and sunny  this morning, with a frisky SE

breeze, so there will be windchill to contend with on then beach.   I'm feeling  mair adventurous and have decided to go and annoy Alice, then do some shopping in Leven.    There's  been some heavy traffic on Ferry Road;  either that or my hearing aids are too loud.    Must 'go';  'slight Flap On' this morning.

20.00    We've had another lovely, sunny day;  and it was warm as long as you were sheltered from the onshore wind.    At one point it was blowing F 4 -5 out in the bay.    This dry Easterly wind is disagreeable ro the tubes;  but brilliant for drying claes.

I had a pleasant trip to Leven and Methil;  the roads were busy both ways, but nobody was driving like they should have set off half an hour earlier.    Alice had the kettle 'on' when I arrived, so we had a cuppa and blether, before going to Sainsbury's to do the shopping.    The shopping didn't take long, and we were soon back at Alice HQ, ready for lunch, after a hard morning.    We then had an early afternoon coffee, before I set off home.

The countryside is looking bonnie just now, with the different shades of fresh Spring greens all around.     I've always thought the this is the bonniest time of year in the countryside.   Especially so after a long, and dreary, at times winter.         Back at Ivy, I put the messages away, made a cuppa;  and sat down to watch the News.   Then snooker was coming on at 14.00 and I was going to catch up with that;   but I was sound asleep by then.  I slept for nigh on an hour;  pit the mug of tea through the microwave, then watched the snooker.

The wind has quietened down and we have a nice evening.   I'd go for a  daunder up to the seat at the 17th green, but I'm tireder than I expected to be.   Must have done too much hooverin' I yesterday!

The weather forecast for tomorrow is 'more of the same';  loads of sunshine but with a lighter breeze, so
it should feel warmer.     I'll be in 'rest mode':  actually I might get the bike out if the roads aren't  busy. This is a Bank holiday weekend, but I think it's only Monday that's the actual 'holiday'.

Today's photographs are all from the Frameo.   Top - last day in China from Catriona;  and Middle - Michael and me, and Bottom  - Janice and Michael.
