Quiet morning ....
27th April 2026 (Monday) 09.15 ..... I had fun in the shower this morning; the water kept
going from really hot to cold all the time; this is caused by low water pressure. Anyway I danced around, in and out of the water, and had a shower of sorts. I've done the important thing; filled up a container with water for the kettle; it's all 'go' at Ivy now! Apparently there's a burst pipe in the Ferry High Street. Off to have a banana .... and another cuppa. And, I need the sun to break through and warm up 'The Hutte'. 'Light rain' showers are mentioned in the weather forecast for KY9. I think this will be a 'lazy' day for me.20.00 I said I'd have a 'lazy day' ... and that is what I've had. I went up to Chapel Green in the car, and had a short walk around and took a few photies. I'm always surprised at the number of strangers wandering around Chapel Green now: some of them might be 'new locals' for all I know: it's good to see Elie and Earlsferry busy all year round! As will be the other East Neuk villages.
I can hardly believe this: I have yet to 'oover wi' my new Hoover. Iain did some on Sunday morning, but that's all. I might have a 'play' with it tomorrow. I didn't realise how noisy the old Panasonic Hoover was until I got hearing aids! I used to think it was one of the quietest Hoovers ever made! After I got the aids I took them out before 'ooverin. I'm looking forward to doing a bit of 'ooverin and dustin' tomorrow. Then again I could change my mind.
The local Blackie is giving it laldie in the evenings just now. He's a bonnie whistler right enough.
22.30 I've had a 'strange', one degree under feeling, (but restful) day. I watched the Ronnie O'Sullivan v John Higgins snooker match this afternoon; two 'slightly older' Masters playing amazing snooker at times. In the evening I watched King Charles and Queen Camilla arrive in USA for their State visit. The State visit will be a welcome change from 'war' News; I hope!
Tomorrow I shall get back to my 'Pier project'; 'working' in The Hutte. I'm hoping that the waterpressure is back to normal tomorrow morning: showering was hard work this morning! And I'll wait until the morning before I make a plan for tomorrow. I'm hoping to feel a bit mair 'active'; playing with the new hoover comes to mind!
