Nice morning ....
8th April 2026 (Wednesday) 09.30 .... It's a lovely balmy kind o' mornin'; definitely a jogging,
biking/exercise morning. There's a light, and warm, southwesterly breeze; and I'm feeling playful. What a difference a slight change in wind direction makes!Alice phoned to tell me that Irene, Isobel's (Alice's daughter) Mother in Law) had died, peacefully, last night. Irene, who is 92, was in Scoonie Care Home because of 'heart problems'. My condolence's go to Alan, Isobel and their family in Canada; Alice and her family, Karen, Theresa and Brian... and the wider Robertson and Mitchell Families, and all their friends.
Irene, whom I had the pleasure of meeting a few times in the Care Home, was a lovely lady; an elderly, and clever lady with a lovely smile. She will be sadly missing from our lives now, but always in our memories.
20.00 I've had a very quiet day; mostly moving my drawing boards, pencils and sketch pads, back out to 'The Hutte' where there is... oops was, a load of space. No, the drawing equipment doesn't take up much room, and it's where I do my drawing, because the light is perfect.
I went to bed last night thinking about what might happen to Iran by morning time: and, was surprised to wake up to a two week 'conditional' ceasefire. Let's hope that commonsense prevails over the next two weeks and we end up with proper Peace. There's going to have to be some serious talking ....and listening done; on both sides.
The temperature reached 20.1C on the patio thermometer this afternoon. It is a sun trap right enough, and it was warm. It was even warmer in 'The Hutte' .... 30C! It's to be cooler tomorrow; "light rain and a fresh Southwesterly breeze is the weather forecast'.
I'll spend some time in The Hutte taping a sheet of drawing paper onto a drawing board: and might
even start drawing. I'm assuming the light rain means that the light should be OK.It had been a lovey hot day today, but the sky is beginning to cloud over, and the air is cooler.
