Sunny ....
10th April 2025 (Thursday) 08.00 .... It's a lovely morning; sunny with a moderate Westerly
breeze.... chilly at the moment but the temperature is forecast to rise to 18C in the afternoon .... and a wall to wall blue sky. With the change of wind direction it will be warmer on the beach... and the golf course! I have my appointment at 09.30, other than that I haven't made a 'plan' for today, but probably I'll get the bike out in the afternoon!08.30 I've just seen my first Swallow of the year: one Swallow does not a summer make, but it's a start!
11.00 I always go out to Woodhaven Bay when at the surgery, to get a few photos of the lighthouse etc. I can now tell you that it is not warm out in the open, because of the wind chill: and I did not take many photographs! In fact I doubt if I'll be out on the bike if the wind doesn't moderate!
The surgery mission was a complete success: I've had blood taken; but my BP is much higher than it should be! I have to take it at home and hand the results in. Forget all that; It's morrrrrrrrrrrning coffee time! Weak coffee!.... and nae goodies!
17.00 It has been a lovely, sunny day, but the fresh breeze took a few degrees off the temperature, out in the open..... it was 17.3C (shade) when I had my afternoon coffee on the patio.
I got the bike out, and checked the tyre pressures, but haven't been anywhere because the roads have been busy. I thought the workmen were on holiday this week, but we've had plenty going on all around 'The Ferrie'. I'd like go out in the evening; but I doubt if I will, because I'm normally too tired by then.
22.30 For some reason this feels like it has been a long day; and yet I feel like I have achieved very little, though I have been pottering about all day. I didn't go out on the bike today, but tomorrow's weather is supposed to be much the same as today's, so I might take time out in the afternoon to go up to Chapel Green. Iain is coming down for the weekend, arriving later tomorrow afternoon: and Derek
is coming to paint the gable. Friday is going to be a busy, and interesting day!I must make up Iain's bed tomorrow; that is one mission. Then I have to make a cuppa for Derek. There could be a 'slight flap on' state at Ivy tomorrow morning!
