Light cloud .....

18th April 2025 (Friday)    08.45 .... The washing is on the line;  the sky isn't very promising

looking at present, but I'm feeling positive!     "Light cloud with a moderate ENE breeze" is forecast ....and there's the chance of April showers (and April sunny spells) later in the afternoon.   It's a chilly morning (7.2C) just now, and it's going to be cool (for the time of year) all day:  so the bike won't be leaving the shed!   I might have a short walk with the hurdy gurdy later, but I think this is going to be a 'stay in and stay warm' day.   This cauld spell has upset my playing plans.

19.30    I've had a good day... which is apt because it's the first day of the Easter weekend....Good Friday!   The washing I did first thing was dry (and ironed) long before the rain reach us, but that was the only 'work' I did.   I browsed the Alberto Archive for a while (that's where today's photos are from... 2014) and, would you believe it, I actually watched a film in the afternoon, without falling asleep!   It was a 2002, English  version of 'Pollyanna';  far better than the American version, with Haley Mills in it (1960).   In the morning I'd searched for an Easter(ish) film but the only ones I found were both American films ... 'The Robe' being one of them.    That's when I decided to browse the archive!

The plan was to have a short walk ,with the hurdy gurdy later ,in the afternoon, but the rain cam on round about 15.00 I never went further than the front gate.    Ferry Road has been busy all day;  presumably with holidaymakers arriving for the weekend.   If all the cars that came down Ferry Road stopped in 'The Ferrie' it must be running out o' parking spaces.

Sunday looks like being the best day of the weekend;   tomorrow is going to be much the same as today, but mostly dry with the chance of sunny spells in the afternoon.   The moderate wind is going to be from the East, so it will feel cold.   I might go for a short walk (or on the bike if it isn't too cold) early in the morning, before the streets are too busy.

22.00    It's a wet evening just now (I've been out at the 'bucket'), but the rain is supposed to move away
Colinsburgh.
by morning time.   I'm thinking that the bike won't be leaving the shed tomorrow because it's going to be breezy (E) and cold.    Sunday has definitely the most promising looking weather forecast.
