Lovely morrrrrrrning ....

25th April 2025 (Friday)     08.30 .... It's a nice calm morning;  clouds around just now, but 'sunny

intervals with a fresh easterly breeze' is the local weather forecast.   A perfect drying day.  The wind, being off the sea, will feel cool on the beach, but it will be warm behind a windbreak.    I haven't made a 'plan' for today, but I'm thinking of going shopping.   I've had breakfast now I need a cup o' coffee.

20.00    I made my mind up to go to Sainsbury's (Leven) to do my shopping;  and I'd be doing it on my own as Alice goes shopping with Karen (daughter) on a Friday.  However they always end up in Sainsbury's, so I could 'bump into them'.   And that is what I did:  I bumped into Alice but never saw Karen.   She was busy chatting to a friend!   Alice was surprised at how much I had in the trolley,  (I'd bought a few 'Emergency Rations' on the way round);  she had a closer look at the contents of the trolley,.... and spotted the 'Emergency Rations'!   This naughty boy is not supposed to be eating .... er .... 'goodies'.   I promptly bought some food things.... and, having arranged to give Alice a run up to Methil, I trundled the trolley to the checkout .... and was pleasantly surprised at how many Nectar points I'd collected!

I'd just finished loading my 'food' into the car boot when Alice arrived with her trolley, and in 'nae time' we were at her abode, having a well earned cuppa, before I set off for home.

Back at Ivy I found a card from one of the District Nurses!   Today was the day I was due to get my catheter changed.   Oops.    I phoned the Skeith Centre, to let them know that the missing boy had turned up, and could keep his appointment (14.30) at the Centre.   Another cuppa, and a quick scratch of the scalp wi' a comb, and I was ready to 'go' to Ainster.   All is good;  the Nurses are happy... and I'm happy.   I like when everybody is 'happy'.

The plant in the photo on the left it the one that has attracted greenfly.   There's only one problem;  they seem to be attracted to the red leaves so not very well camouflaged, and easy to see .... and even easier to squash.  Who needs Ladybirds!   The top photo is Myra's rhododendron;  it is going to look amazing in a few days.
