Sunny (and warm) ....

 6th April 2025 (Sunday)    11.30 .... No .... I didn't sleep in.... I have been a busy boy!               We have a

beautiful 'play day'  morning at Elie and Earlsferry so I went for the paper(s) early (in the car) and down to the harbour;  that must have been about 07.30... and, even at that time, it wasn't cold.   That said I had my jacket on.

There was activity at the harbour;  Tom was out at his creels, and David was getting ready to go out.   Not only was there human activity;  the Eider duck were courting.  Loads of 'boys' to the few 'girls' so the 'girls' could play 'hard to get'.   And there was a yacht in the harbour!  My camera clicking finger was active, and I have a load of photos to sort out..... including a few of a Shelduck, one of a pair on the harbour beach.   The other one, the 'girl', stayed out on the water.

Back at Ivy, Calumn phoned to say he was coming along, and we'd go to 'The Ship' for morning coffee.   It was good catching up with Calumn (my former apprentice at the Craw's Nest).   At the moment he, along with  Karen (good lady wife) and dog (forgot dog's name) is based in Brazil.  Calumn was my apprentice (painter) at the Craw's Nest (Anstruther), and is now in Health and Safety on oil platforms:  Calumn and Karen are on holiday.

Shelduck (boy).
Calumn and I  went to the 'Ship Inn' for morning coffee, (both having had breakfast), and a catch up 'blether!  Calumn and Karen fly back to Brazil on Thursday.  This has been an exciting morrrrrrrning.... and I am only now starting to calm down.

This silly boy forgot to take his camera with him when we went to the 'Ship Inn'.. .. so nae photographs of Calumn!   I'd hoped to ask some to take a photo of Calumn and me together, on my camera!   Oh well .... the next time!

20.30    'Sunshine'  is good stuff;   and we've had a while day of it, and there's a while week of it to ahead;  if the weather turns out as forecast!    Having said that, there has been a cool breeze 'aff the watter' all day so it wouldn't be warm on the beach.    I enjoyed morning coffee with Calumn,  and reminiscing about our Craw's Nest days.   Calumn and Karen are going back to Brazil at the end of the week.
With me having an early (and busy) morning, I spent some of the afternoon sorting out the photographs
I'd taken on the paper run;  and the remainder of the afternoon .... mostly relaxing.   Now that the light is better in the mornings I'm going to try and get back into the habit of going out early, before the wind freshens, and before the roads get busy.   Most mornings I'll end up at the harbour.   Actually 'Crane In' is this week sometime so I might try to catch that.
