Cloudy .....

24th April 2025 (Thursday)     08.30 .... Its cloudy and, with the wind off the sea, it's not going to

be warm on the beach today.   However, "sunny intervals" are forecast so, when the sun does break through, it will be warm sheltered from the wind.... and should be warm enough in the afternoon to have have coffee outside. ... unless the haar comes in.    That's about as far as I'll be going today .... the patio.  All the Fife Weather cams are showing grey ..... (and looking cold) just now!

12,00     I've had a good morning.   Derek came down to pick up his paint tray, so we had a cuppa and he updated me with the Colinsburgh 'news'.    When Derek left I decided to water the tubs before the sun came broke through;  which it is beginning to do now.   I've had a migraine since all that, so had to lie low for a bit.... watching Australians hunting for gold!   I'll take a couple of pills at lunch time then go up to Kinneuchar in the car.  It's actually a nice day now (15.1C) , and the breeze, though still Easterly, is light.  I'm a 'happy' boy.   Off to find something to eat.

20.00   It has been a lovely day, but I didn't go biking because of the East wind.   Actually it has been a strange day for me;  I couldn't get into the mood at all in the afternoon.   I eventually louped intae the car and went up to take some Spring time photographs o' Kinneuchar kirk.   You know, the fresh green leaves leaves on the hedges and trees etc.  I enjoyed that, but never really got going after the migraine.  I'll take a couple of pills and have my Horlicks after this update, and have a lazy evening.   Actually it's a lovely, quiet evening and if I wasn't feeling so lethargic I'd go out with the camera.   However, there's still a light Easterly breeze, so probably chilly down at the beach.   It has been 17.9C in the back garden this afternoon.... where I had my afternoon coffee.

"Sunny intervals with a fresh Easterly breeze" is the weather for KY9 tomorrow;  a repeat of today's weather in fact.   A pity about the East wind, because it's it that prevents me going out on the bike.   I'm hoping to feel more frolicsome tomorrow.   With the wind off the East I will have to water the tubs  every second day.   Apart from one which is drought resistant and doesn't like being over watered.    And.... this is not good!    Greenfly have been found on one of the plants (the Photinia)!   Where are the Ladybirds?   I've got greenfly snacks for them!

The Rhododendron (Verginia Richards) I got from Myra is almost flowering, so it is still in the original garden centre pot.   It really needs to be in a bigger tub.
I'll transfer it into a bigger tub once the flowers are past.   A photo will be taken tomorrow to let you see it .

I've got the watering well organised now:  two watering cans sit comfortably on the hurdy gurdy,  to be wheeled, from the outside tap, round to the patio.
Funny;  I feel brighter now than I have done all day!   Off to make the 'orlicks.
