Sunny ......

1st April 2025 (Tuesday)     09.00 ....  It's a lovely morrrrning; 'sunny with a light Easterly breeze',

and  there's slight chill in the air, but it will warm up once the sun is higher.   Sunrise was at 07.44.   The cool Easterly breeze is the problem today... especially when the wind freshens.

The Ferry High Street is open again and 'navigable' with care.  All the diversion signs gone.   The bloke that does the signage is an early bird that's for sure!... he arrived before the crack o' dawn.  That said dawn 'cracked' at 07.44 .... so it wasn't that early.   I've known him arrive at 05.30 to remove signage to use somewhere else:  in this case, probably between me and the Skeith Centre (Anstruther)!

20.30    I'm enjoying the sunshine;  and I went up to Chapel Green, and the pony Field on the bike.   It was really pleasant;  that was after morning coffee, and before the wind freshened, so it was warm.... and I was well wrapped up anyway.   I went round to the information board by the 10th fairway;  and met a big group of walkers doing the Coastal Path.   The golf course was also busy;  it was a lovely day, and, like me, everyone would be enjoying the warm sunshine.    On the way back to Maggie's Seat I stopped at Jim's Seat and had a 5 minute reminisce.

From Jim's Memorial Seat.
I had a light sandwich lunch, as I was making 'sausages and mash' for dinner, then, after an afternoon coffee, I set off for the Skeith Centre:  and, as I suspected, came across a set of temporary traffic lights on Pittenweem Road.   Actually I think that set has been there for a while.   There was a  'new' set that I came across on the Kellie Castle road, but they detect a moving vehicle and change.... so no hold up.

My visit to the Skeith Centre was a success.   I was only in the building for about a minute.   Anything to be uplifted is left at the Reception Desk;  it was a short visit.

I'd left the bike out on the patio intending to go out again, but the wind had freshened and was off the water, so it was cold.   There were white tops on the water so the wind was F4.  I put the bike away.   According to the weather forecasters the next few days are to be sunny;  but the East Coast will be bothered by the onshore wind.   I'm hoping to go biking at whatever is forecast to be the least windy time of day.
