quiet morning ....

27th April 2025 (Sunday)     08.45 .... We have a Westerly breeze this morning (I can see the 'Glenfuir' Union Flag) , but the sky is overcast just now.  "Sunny intervals with a moderate breeze" is the weather forecast.... and, this is the good bit, this is the first day of a spell of warm weather!   I might get the bike out after morning coffee;  must try to shake off 'side effects' of the East wind during the warm spell.  However,  there is one 'side effect' of the West wind that can be annoying at this time of year .... 'pollen'.

17.00     Although the thermometer of the patio shed is showing 19.5C  .... but it is to windy, and therefore cool, to sit out at the table and have my afternoon coffee.   It's a bit disappointing, but it is a brisk breeze.   I've been up to Kinneuchar to take the 'Kinneuchar kirk Spring' greens again.   I'm going to do this every second day (weather permitting) for the next couple o' weeks or so, that I can have a set of them to browse when I'm auld:  I like the trees changing from the bare look of Winter to the fresh greens of Spring.

It's going to be warmer tomorrow (and hopefully not so windy) so I'll bike up, and might even go into Elie Estate.   When I think about that I'll need to get up early tomorrow and flatten the bike battery  (bike up to Chapel Green) a bit before charging it.   Bit of a 'flap on' tomorrow morning I'm thinkin'.    I've just been checking tomorrow's forecast and the wind if going to be 'moderate'.... the same as today.   It will be a good drying day, so I'll get that done, and hung out, first thing in the morning.   In fact I might do the washing bit tonight.

I'm tired after watching the London Marathon earlier (it's still going on);  Eilish McColgan was 8th, and the first UK female to finish.   The organisers are hoping for a record number of finishers this year....nearly 60.000.   'Finish Line? ....  I couldn't even make it to the 'Start' line!

22.00    It has been noticeably warmer today;  the start of a mini heat wave in 'Sunny Sussex', where the
temperature could get up to 25C.   it won't reach that here:  but, as I already mentioned, it was 19.5C (patio) this afternoon.   I'm thinking it could get up to 20C tomorrow;  but there will be windchill to spoilt it.
I have no plan for tomorrow;  but I would like to bike up to Chapel Green to empty the bike battery so that I can charge it:  I like a fully charged battery when biking up to Kinneuchar;  I might want to 'explore'.
