Nice morning ....

17th April 2025 (Thursday)     09.30 .... We have a peaceful kind of morning... and we even had an early morning sunny spell.

However the sky is cloudier now, and it's beginning to look like we could have April showers.... and also the chance of sunny spells.   I might get the bike out later;  there's only a light breeze and it isn't as cold as it was yesterday, my kind of biking weather.... and I'd only go to Chapel Green.   Right now I'm going to have a quick run round with the 'oover.

20.30    I had a run up to Elie to pick up my prescription in the morning.  Elie High street was busy,  (this is the Easter weekend)  and I'd moored up across from the Chemist:  the combination of heavy traffic and nae wind meant there was a lot of pollution.... and the auld tubes didn't like that.   I was glad to get back to the car and have couple o' puffs o' the blue inhaler.    Being that there was hardly any wind, I decided to go to the harbour  (the blue inhaler is a magic bit o' kit) to get a few reflection photographs.    Having forgotten that the tide was out, I didn't get the reflection photos I'd hoped for, but I took some for the Archive....  even though it was raining at the time.  

Back at Ivy I did the 'ooverin' I'd threatened to do earlier, made morrrrrrning coffee, and sorted out the photos I'd taken at at Elie.   By this time the weather was improving and the rain was at the April shower stage.... with a bonnier looking sky than it had been earlier.   With the sky clearing it also began to feel colder so I never got the bike out.  In fact I did't go out again.  As usual I had an afternoon siesta after lunch, and woke up feeling almost bright eyed and bushy tailed.   I put the kettle 'on'.... and had a cuppa while watching the News.

The News headlines has been the recent Supreme Court ruling on Gender.   Being er ... let's say auld. ...I have always been of the opinion that a 'woman' is the adult human than has necessary body parts needed to produce babies, something that a transgender 'woman' hasn't.  It was much simpler in the good old days.   Anyway common sense prevailed.   Man?... I'm sure 'he' has something to do with helping the 'woman' make a baby, but I've forgotten what it was!   

22.30    Tomorrow is going to be mixed cloud with sunny spells now and again;  but it's to be dry.   I'll
do a washing first thing, and if it isn't too cold will get the bike out before the streets are busy.   This is the Easter weekend so the streets and roads will be busy.   The wind is going to be off the sea so it will be cold.   Maybe I won't bother going out on the bike.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good l...

Nice morning .....

4th January 2024 (Saturday)    09.15 .... The car windscreens is clear, the washing I left out Shona huggin' a huge Kilbrackmont tree! overnight is flapping about in the breeze, and my breathing easier.   The sky is mostly cloudy just now, but our weather forecast for today is "sunny intervals with a gentle breeze".    There's a Yellow Warning for snow active from midnight tonight through to midday on Monday;  though I imagine it will more likely be sleet, or rain,  for us.   'Sunny Sussex' and most of the South of England is covered by an Amber Warning for snow today, so most of the UK is likely to see snow at some point over the next few days. 20.00    Although not the best of drying days the washing was nearly dry by the end of the afternoon.   Earlier in the afternoon I'd gone to Methil to annoy Alice.  We had a cuppa before going shopping.  We went to Sainsbury's they have 'everything' and are trying ...
