Sunny intervals .....

22nd September 2026 (Tuesday)     08.00 ..... It's a nice morning;   a mix of clouds and blue
sky= sunny intervals .... and there's a moderate, warm SW wind, so a good day for hanging out the washing.   Better still, I'm feeling 'bright eyed and bushy tailed' after a good night's unbroken sleep.    Must 'go go go'; got a sheet to hang out on the line.

20.00   We've enjoyed a lovey sunny day;  and a warm one.   21.5C on the thermometer.   I enjoyed my trip to Methil;  where I tormented Alice, went to visit her friend Barbara, then went to Sainsbury's for a few bits and pieces.   Had lunch with Alice then back home by 14.30.

It has been a busy day politically;   Ed Davy's speech at Lib Dems Conference in Brighton,  and President Trump's address to the United Nations Assembly.   President Trump has decided that AI (Artificial Intelligence) should be called SI (Super Intelligence).   I've been wondering about AI;  is it going to create jobs for young folk?   Politicians of all parties say that they want young folk to get good, long term and satisfying jobs.   Apart from writing job applications, I can't see AI actually creating jobs for young folk.... other as technicians in AI itself.   It must be worrisome for job hunting young folk right enough.

22.00     I have an appointment with Jennifer (Asthma Nurse) tomorrow morning;  checking how I'm getting on with the new inhaler.    It is much better;  I hardly use the blue inhaler at all now.;  so that is a good sign.   As least I think it is.

I might have a run down to the harbour after my appointment (10.30):  no,  change of 'plan';  rain is forecast for the morning time, so I'll forget about the harbour;  unless the rain has moved away by then.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.
