Nice morning ....

19th September 2026 (Saturday)     07.30 ....  It's a bright and breezy morning;  and, after
a good night's unbroken sleep, I feel  .... as bright and breezy as the weather!    Actually I'm ready for breakfast,.... and a cuppa.    Michael is going home today;  leaving me i/c.    He has organised plenty food, and done a lot of work around the house;  but I have no doubt I'll soon be back to my old disorganised routine.    Must 'go' , slight 'Flap On' this morning.

17.00   Michael is on his way home to Sunny Sussex this morning:  after a busy week at Ivy Cottage he'll be glad to get home for a rest:  we arrived at Leven Station with about 10 minutes to spare, so I took today's photos at the Station.   
Due to engineering work between Edinburgh and Newcastle, Michael has to take the Border Line from Edinburgh to Carlisle, then the West Coast Main line to Euston.  Then London to Hayward's Heath where Janice will waiting for the train coming in.    So ... all is good on the travelling front!

After the train moved off, I went up to Alice HQ and had a cuppa and a bit of Alice's delicious home made banana bread. ... and caught up with the local (Methil) news before bumbling my way back home.   Nothing  to report from Methil.

When I got back home I put the breakfast dishes into the dish washer, and had a cuppa.
Dinner is easy tonight;  I'm heating up the last of the casserole!   I must have put on weight over the past week.   Actually I see that I have some Bacon in the fridge do will have bacon and eggs and beans for breakfast tomorrow morning.  The diet begins on Monday.

22.30    Michael is back home in Uckfield, and having a cuppa with Janice when he phoned.  He had no problem with the trains. in spire of the change of route.   My next visitor is 'JB' coming up from Sunny Sussex on the 10th October!


I have  a washing in the machine that I'll do first thing in the morning;  this will leave the machine
empty for the bedding which I'll do over the next few days.   The intention is to have a rest day tomorrow.... apart from the washing machine.    Michael has made me plenty of food, all I have to do is the vegetables and tautties, so not much 'work' needed there.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
