Nice morning ....

15th September 2026 (Tuesday)      The 15th September?.... that means 100 days to Christmas Day!   How time flies.

Kinneuchar kirk this morning.
12.30   Michael has been busy fitting handrails  above the bath so that I have something to hold when
stepping into the bath to have a shower.   Before doing the handrails, Michael had a quick trip up to Kinneuchar Kirk, but the light wasn't that good:  so I have used  one of the photographs we got yesterday.   It's actually turned out quiet legible.    Me?   I am have been doing computer 'stuff' some of the time,    Watching 'Taggart' some of the time;  and generally recovering after a busy day yesterday!

14.30    I've just found out that I forgot to 'publish' The Hutte  update that I did earlier.    Sorry aboot that!   I'm wide awake now!    We have a sunny and hot spell of weather just now;  heavy showers are forecast;  hopefully they will miss us!

19.30    The weather has changed yet again;  we've had a shower, and the air is cooler.    Me? .... I've done a lot of work on the computer, and have, more or less, finished the project that Maggie and I began.   Anyway I am happy with the finished work;  and I think Maggie would be happy with it too.

Tomorrow is going to be a 'catch up with the paperwork' day.   That said I don't think there's that much to catch up with. b   I've got to pay my annual fee for my Personal Community Alarm thing.  but the letter about that has yet to arrive.   

Michael is up at the 19th watching the football;  and I'm thinking of putting the kettle on.   The air is feeling cooler;  I might have to switch on the heating.    When I think bout it;  it is only 100 days until Christmas so I shouldn't be surprised that the air is cooler.

I saw on the News that America has deployed  some kind of weapon in space.   The fact that it's America

that has done this doesn't surprise me.   All it will do is start a Weapons in Space Race, that we should all e worried about.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
