Lovely morning ....

28th September 2026 (Monday)     We have a lovely, 'bright and breezy' morning here in KY9; 
almost 'wall to wall' blue sky actually.    I'll have a short walk, after an early morning coffee, then go up to Elie to pick up a prescription.   I meant to so that on Saturday but got diverted!

11.45    I haven't been for my walk yet;  but the Buggy has been brought out of it's nest, and the battery put on charge.   That will take about 4 hours so I don't think I'll go out on it, 'The Buggy', today.   Hauling it out of it's nest is heavy work;  that will be today's 'work'!

I'll go for my short walk after a late morning coffee.   The air is chillier than I expected;  but that will be because of the cloud.

My short walk ended up at Nana's Seat;  but, my word sitting on Nana's Seat is not very comfortable, owning to the sand building up.    Mind you, it would be fine for having a catnap!    The beach was quiet (it was high tide) but I a few folk were out enjoying the late afternoon sun.   That reminds me;  the Buggy battery will be charged, so I'd better unplug, and put 'The Buggy'to bed.     I might have a run out on it later in the week.

20-.00    I am looking forward to buying a new, lightweight, 'Hurdy Gurdy';  for one thing, it will be much easier to lift on and off a pavement;  or up to Nana's seat.    My word... that was a hard shove.

This was going to be a quiet day, but getting the Buggy out is heavy work;  however I'm glad it's done.   The battery is fully charged, so I could go to Colinsburgh and back nae bother.   It's got a range of 32 miles when fully charged.    I've no attention of going that far, but I could go to the harbour.... probably next week.

22.30     Tomorrow I shall visit Alice, and we'll do some shopping in Sainsbury's.   I'll have to empty the

car boot etc when I get back to Ivy, because I need to tidy the car up doe it's MOT on Wednesday.    It's all 'go' just now.   Iain is coming down on Friday ... a busy weekend ahead!

I've had a busy day;  and I've enjoyed it!   Shona said that the pink inhaler was a good one;  and she is right.   It is certainly improving my breathing... and life.   I'm a happy boy.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.
