Overcast with Light rain .....

12th September 2026 (Saturday)       08.45 .... It's dull and damp at present;  but the Fife
Weather Kinghorn  can is showing the sky clearing sky from the SW.   We should have a bright afternoon, with a frisky SW breeze.   I must say it'd rather bleak just now!     

Today's plan?    I'll make up a bed for Michael,  and have a run round wi' the Hoover.   I feel 'tired at the thought of that;   another cuppa should get me in more of a working mood.   I feel in a 'playful'  mood this morning.   

11.30    Michael has a bad to fall into  now;  and that was the work for today.   Making up a double bed is  not as easy at it was  a year ago.    However it's done.   And... yes a cuppa is badly needed!    I'd wash the bedding that came off but I'm not too sure about the weather.;  anyway, this is now a 'rest day'!    The next 'work' will be going to Leven Station;  Michael's train comes in at 15.15.

20.30   The  train Michael was on arrived in Leven about 10 minutes late, but it was a nice afternoon and I enjoyed myself with the camera.    Anyway, Michael is here for a week to sort 'me' out with some of the bits and pieces an 'elderly' person needs.   In my case handrails over the bath in case I slip.   My shower is one of those over the bath kind!

The New\s has been following President trump on his short visit to Ireland to watch some of the golf (Irish Open) that's being plated over his golf course.   He has created a wee bit of a stir by suggesting that Ireland and Northern Ireland should be united.

Another bit of 'News' that's causing some excitement is two donations of £32 million  each, by two billionaire donors.... to the Reform Party.  The other political Parties have been agitated by this.   It has been a worrisome day for some politicians.

Michael and I have no plan for tomorrow;  though we will go shopping to get some rations for the
coming week.   

I had a busier day than I intended having:  I washed the bedding that came off the bed!    It has been out on the line, but is now in The Hutte;  and will go out again tomorrow morning.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
