Light cloud....

21st September 2026 (Monday)     08.30 .... We've got fairly heavy cloud just now, but it should slowly brighten up to  give us a sunny afternoon.    There's a light breeze and it's warm;  but it's not a bonnie morning just now.   Grey and uninspiring looking at the moment.

16.30   We've had a gorgeous sunny, and warm (21C on the patio);  in fact it was too hot to sit in the Hutte for a while.

I've been busy catching up with paper work, including taxing the car!   That reminds me I must book it in for the MOT.   Car has been booked in for Wednesday 30th.

This has been another day doing 'work' things;  including the shower towels washing;   all I have to do now is the bedding.    I might to put some of the bedding through the machine  in the evening;  it all depends on the weather forecast.   I'd wash it tonight and hang it out first thing;  before I go to Methil to annoy Alice.    The weather forecast is good.

19.30    I'm happy with all the 'office stuff' I have done today;    When I got out of bed this morning,  I had an 'action  plan' in mind;  but a migraine knocked the 'action' bit for six.   I was happy enough catching up with the paper work.

22.30    It's warm tonight;  I hope it's not one of those uncomfortable nights.... of course, I have the fan if required.    

I've had a funny kind of day;  couldn't really get fired up.    However I've got a bedding wash going
through just now, ready to hang out first thing in the morning.    Unfortunately there's a good chance of rain on Wednesday, so not a washing day.    Actually that's OK because I have an appointment with the asthma Nurse on Wednesday.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.
