Overcast with light rain...
5th May 2024 (Sunday) 09.00 ... It's warm and overcast, with occasional light rain showers.... and a light breeze from the West.
Sunny spells should come our way by 'MC' time (11.00). I'm thinking of getting the bike out when the sun breaks through; it all depends on how frequent the light showers are. I've been for the paper, (in the car).... I didn't bother with the harbour as it was spitting rain at the time. It's a lovely morning... even though the weather is grey and damp.16.30 With the weather friendly... and the wind from the West... I went out on the bike.... for the first time in a couple of weeks. I didn't set any records for going far, but the camera finger got plenty of exercise, even if the rest of me didn't: the intention being to get a few photos of the Spring greens of the trees and hedgerows. I can well understand why our 'Pagan' ancestors worshipped natural things, like the Sun, Moon, Stars and the natural cycle of life around them. Being around all the new greenery was very therapeutic. At the time I was out the sun was still trying to break through the cloud: it has done so in the last hour or so, and we have a really lovely late afternoon. I went out early because I knew that,
with a brightening sky, the roads would be busier: and they were. There was a steady stream of traffic coming into Elie (Park Place) on my way home: I'd only been as far as Kinneuchar, then home by way of Elie and Chapel Green. I'm a 'happy boy'. It's amazing the difference a spell of decent weather can make.

18.30 The light rain mentioned in the forecast arrived about 18.00 and is to be with us overnight... and tomorrow morning. The bike won't be out again for another few days.
23.15 Heather Ray and Alistair came down in the evening and we had a good old catch up over a cup of coffee made by Alistair.... and biscuits. The biscuits nullified the Weight Watchers lasagne I'd had for dinner! The light rain was still falling when the left for home (Chapel Green Lane).
I have no 'plan for tomorrow.... everything dep[ends on what the weather is doing!
