Nice morrrrrrrrning .....

31st May 2024 (Friday)     07.00 ....  There's early morning mist around with a light breeze from

the NE.  The sun will burn off the mist to give us a 'warm and sunny' day;  albeit there might be a cool onshore breeze.   I'm going to have a run round the villages on the bike before the traffic gets busy.

10.45   It's a good day for biking so I photographed my way down to the harbour.   It was very peaceful at 07.00 but I imagine it will be busy once the villages waken up.  With the weather forecast being good for the weekend the villages will be busy.  The busy summer period begins tomorrow (June), especially at weekends.   I've done the Elie end of the villages this morning;  I'll do Earlsferry (Royal Burgh of) after morning coffee.

19.30    I didn't go up to Chapel Green today;  I started sorting out 'JB's bedroom instead.    John  Arrives at Kirkcaldy Station next Saturday (8th): so loads o' time therefore no 'Flap On' .... yet!   Actually I thought about going to Chapel Green in the evening but there was a chilly wind 'aff the watter' by then.  There was only one bar on the  battery anyway, so it's now being charged up for tomorrow morning.   It's going to be 'sunny with a gentle breeze' tomorrow;  the 'plan' is to go out early.


I don't believe that, out of a population of just under three hundred and thirty five million (334,914,895) in the US of A, they can't find better candidates to be their next President.   No offence meant but President Biden should be out playing with his great grandkids;  and ex President Trump;  well he slabbers a load rubbish most of the time;  and, this is the worrisome bit,  the one who wins in November is 'supposed' to lead the Western world!

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa

Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I
