Nice morning .....
6th July 2026 (Monday) 09.45 .... It's cloudy with a cool breeze; but it's dry and Jackie is
thinning out the wee... er ... wild flowers in the garden. Me? ..... I'm having a rest day after the 'Flap on' day I had yesterday! The temporary traffic lights are 'operational'; protection the workmen at the new telephone pole at Rotten Row. I've moved my car to the 'Disabled' space at the Town Hall. I'll put the kettle 'on' then see how Jackie is getting on. Oh .... England beat Mexico 3 - 2, and are through to the last eight.18.30 Jackie spent the morning, removing a 'few' the weeds from the garden; the broon bucket is full, so the 'few' must have been big weeds! She ii visiting a friend up near Cupar in the afternoon.
After watching the England v Mexico game on BBC2, I sis a wee bit of house work, the went out to The Hutte to do a 'Soduko'; and it was a hard one. and took longer than usual. I must take a photograph of the Soduko Board I got for Christmas. Jackie came in for a break from the weeding. But she gor restless looking out at some weeds!
When Jackie went off to visit her friend I started to watch le Tour, and fell asleep. However I woke up in time to see the last 89 kilometres; the exciting bit.
It has been cooler today, but the next heat wave is fast approaching and temperatures should begin to rise by Wednesday. There's an Amber Warning out for the parts of England, but Scotland should miss the heatwave temperatures. We should be round about the average for this time of year.
I'm going to put the kettle 'on' and have a cuppa. And switch on the dishwasher. Last night I had tohave a late cuppa while waiting for the dishwasher to finish. I nearly saw the start of the England v Mexico game!
Photographs taken this morning.
