Nice morning ....

19th July 2026 (Sunday)     10.00 ..... It's a nice fresh morning;  sunny with a light, slightly

cooler, breeze.   And, for the first time in more than a week, I can see the 'Glenfuir' Union Flag;  this means that the breeze is from the SW just now.   However, the wind direction is to be variable today, and go back to the Easterly direction later. 

After another long, unbroken, night's sleep, I'm not 'iggzactly' feeling frolicsome, but I might take the camera for a short walk after morning coffee.  I need to do a wee bit of Hooverin' first.

19.30     I went into 'slight flap on' mode this morning, when I realised that the end of July is nigh;  and that's when Emily John, and the great grandson's Henry and Austen, are coming for three nights.   Anyway I stripped the double bed and have washed the duvet cover.   The sheets are in the machine and will be going on the line tomorrow morning; early.   'Flap off' .... I'm going to have a cuppa.

My word;  Earlsferry is a busy village now.   I've only been as far as the gate, but that was far enough to know that the village is busy.    There were folk, of all ages, on bikes, some taking the dog for a walk, others taking the golf clubs for a walk.   Yes... a busy little place id The Royal Burgh, and will be for the next couple of months.

I forgot to  got out with the camera;  and that's a first!    I must be auld after all!   The plan is to get 'up' early tomorrow morning so I might go out before the village gets busy.

22.30    The FIFA World Cup Final has gone into extra time!  It has been a scrappy game with no

goals.   Argentina has a player sent off for two Yellow cards.    Spain are trying to win the cup;  with Argentina trying hard to stop them.   That's the kind of game it has been.

23.30    Spain scored a goal in Extra time and won the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
