Low cloud ....

14th July (Tuesday) 2026      09.30.... A cool NE breeze has brought a bank of low cloud in, from the North Sea;  but the sun should burn the cloud off by the afternoon.    At the moment the air is chilly, but will warm up when the sun does break through.    That said, it here will be a cool onshore breeze on the beach.

I have my appointment with Laurie (Nurse) this morning;  but, do I have have time for another cuppa before I go? ..... of course I do!   'Slight Flap on' .... got the kettle to switch 'on'.

15.15     My BP appointment went well;  but the reading was high.   'White coat' (in Laurie's case 'blue coat syndrome')  would contribute.    I have to do a weeks worth of readings at home, to eliminate the 'blue coat' syndrome, and see where my BP is at in normal conditions.

The sun has let us down today;  it has yet to break through the cloud.   Actually it has been chilly today;  compared to the hot days we've had recently.  We might have a lovely evening!    I'm going to have an afternoon coffee, in The Hutte, and do a Soduko .... a really hard one!   The auld brain is back working again.

20.15    The change with the weather is disappointing;  but, at least it has been dry, and the joggers seemed to be enjoying their run when they passed Ivy this morning.   Apart from going to the Surgery, and watering the tubs, I've had a quiet day.    The East wind has never agreed with me so I'm staying in as much as possible.  Actually I think I have caught another summer cold, but from where I don't know. The only 'crowded' place  I've been in, is Sainsbury's.

I was feeling really good until the wind changed to the Northeast four days ago;  and it doesn't take much for me to catch a cold nowadays.  Oh well back to lying low again.    I'll have a 'JT' at bedtime, and go to bed early.

With the weather being grey most of the day (we had a short sunny spell late in the afternoon) I though I'd browse the Alberto Archive for some bright photographs.    I found an Album of photographs, taken on the History Society trip to Stirling Castle in 2012.    That was a nostalgic browse I can tel you.   Actually I have two Albums of photographs taken that day.   Which is hand;  because tomorrow will be a browsing day if I am under the weather.

I'm going to put the kettle 'on' and make a 'JT';  a few sips o' that should relax me before I rake my BP.

No;  I'll take the BP first then make the toddie!   In fact I might do a BP reading before... and after....  the toddie, to see if there is any difference.

22.30    I didn't do the 'after toddle' reading;  I was too engrossed watching the Spain v France World Cup Semi Final.   Spain won 2 - 0.
Today's photos are of the King's Chamber ceiling, in the Palace at Stirling Castle.
