Wet and windy ....
4th February 2026 (Wednesday) 10.00 .... we have yet another day of 'wet and windy'
weather; I probably won't go out today. It's not just Fife, the whole of the UK has had rain, at dome point, in the first few weeks of 2026. On a positive note; there isn't any dust to get in our eyes. Not outside anyway.'Plan' for today?... probably computer stuff, numerous cuppas (got to keep up the liquid intake), some 'ooverin' and dustin', and a few cat-naps. Need to put the kettle 'on'.... it's morning coffee time. And, I must give 'Blob' his morning snack. Busy day ahead; I feel tired already. Oh... the weather forecast?.... "light rain and a fresh Easterly breeze".
16.30 It had been windy, wet and gloomy, nearly all day: there was a short period around midday when the greyness was paler, and the light rain, not quite stopped; I began to think 'sunny spells' at that point..... but the sunny spells never got beyond my thinking of them!
I have been keeping up with the 'News'; which is dominated by the Epstein files saga just now. The Duke and Duchess of York ... oops.... Mr Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his former wife Sarah Ferguson, have let the Royal Family down, their own family down, the people of the UK down; but most of all they let themselves down, by associating with Epstein. Of course being mentioned in the Epstein Files doesn't mean they are guilty of wrongdoing; but getting involved with him (Epstein) was not clever.
Then we have Peter Mandelson; being mentioned in the Epstein Files doesn't mean he's guilty of anything, other than being foolish enough to allow himself to be involved with Epstein. The PM making him (Mandelson) the Ambassador to the USA was a catastrophic mistake, but the Prime Minister explained all that at PM's Question Time today. I have no doubt that the The Epstein File saga will rumble on.
I didn't go out in the car today; better to stay in and warm; and anyway, I had a browse through the
Archive and ended up choosing sunny photographs, taken 14 years ago. It isn't 14 years since we had sunny days (even though it might feel like it at times); I just fancied a look at 2012.
