Lovely morning ....
14th February 2026 (Saturday) .... This is "St Valentine's Day".... the day of love and red roses.
9.45 .... We have a lovely, bright, sunny and chilly morning. I see that the sun has cleared the car windscreen,so I might go to the harbour after morning coffee. There's a washing going through the machine just now, which I'll hang out though I doubt if it will dry because there's only a light breeze.17.00 It has been a lovely, sunny day; but it was cold. I went to Elie to hand in my prescription, and to the 'paper Shop' . I had intended going to the harbour but, for some reason, the roads were busy and there was loads of people wandering around. In fact when I reversed out to come home a stream of traffic came the other way and I had to wait until they passed before I got going. I went up the Elie road, then down Ferry road for a wee run. Not much happen there; although I met another stream of traffic on the Elie road. The sun must have brought everyone out to play. It certainly has been a big change of weather.
The washing I hung out wasn't quite dry, but drier than I expected it to be. I'll iron the bits that need ironing this evening. It was bitterly cold when I was bringing in the washing
I was tempted to get 'The Buggy' out after lunch, but the air was too cold; so I've had a restful day watching the the Olympics; and I have the Six Nations, Scotland v England.
I slept the whole night through last night, so must have been tired.... probably at the thought of the dusting I was going to do this morning. That reminds me!.... it hasn't been done yet!
20.30 Scotland 31 - England 20; that was the result of the Six Nations match at Murrayfield this afternoon. It has been an exciting afternoon.
Sleet and rain showers are forecast overnight, with heavy rain tomorrow; so it's back to wet, cauld and
windy!.... but only for one day (tomorrow). It's to be brighter on Monday, and bonnie on Tuesday.I'm going to have a look at the News; after making a cuppa, and finding a goodie to go with it.
Today's photos: Top - romantic red rose! Middle and Bottom taken at Elie (outside the Chemist's).
