Light rain ....
2nd February 2026 (Monday) 10.00 .... It;'s a grey, damp morning; but there is the chance of
brighter spells now and again; maybe even a 'sunny spell'. It's unlikely that The buggy will be coming out today; so I'll frolic around wi' the Hoover and do a wee bit o' housework; Photographs?..... it's not a day for going out wi' the camera, but I might take a turn round the villages in the car later. Funnily enough, in spite of the drab weather, I feel sort of 'playful'.15.00 As you can see from the top photo, the weather had been cloudy with occasional short spells of light rain. We had a 'brighter spell, but no blue sky.
I had a run round the villages, and up to Kinneuchar to take a few 'Today' photies; they gives me something to 'play' with later. Apart from building work going on, at various sites. around the villages, and a few folk out with their dog, the villages were quiet. Not surprising on gloomy kind of day.
Fraser )Thomson) came down The Toft, walking his dog, and was saying that the Little Egret is back; this is the second, or possibly third year it has been here. I imagine it must be either breeding, or hoping to find a mate and breed,, somewhere, hopefully, not too far away. I don't think they (little Egrets) have bred in Scotland, although it's much larger relation the Great White Egret has, at the Loch of Strathbeg in Aberdeenshire.
22.00 My sword.... I've just had a look at the weather forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday! There's a Yellow Warning (possible) out for snow/sleet/ rain covering Fife, starting at midnight tonight through to Wednesday afternoon. An I am thinking of going to Methil to visit Alice tomorrow. It's only a 'Possible' warning for snow, but it looks like we're going to have 'dampness', in one form or another!
I've actually enjoyed 'today'! I know the weather isn't the best kind for going out with the camera, butthe villages are bonnie regardless of the weather.... and the photies 'different', even taken from the same viewpoint. Luckily the rain was intermittent today, and only light when it was raining, so not really much of a nuisance. Wind with heavy rain is something else; and that is the forecast for tomorrow!
