Quiet morning ....

15th February 2026 (Sunday)     10.30 .... Getting out of bed this morning didn't seem to be a

good idea at 07.15, so I eventually got 'up' at 07.55!    Having showered and had breakfast I feel 'playful' now!

Although chilly, it's a nice enough morning, with a mostly cloudy sky, with blue patches and the chance of sunny spells now and again.   Unfortunately there's a good chance of light rain in the afternoon.   I might venture out in the car.   It's time for coffee (and 'cake' ) now!

15.30    Iv'e had a lazy day;  not that I wanted a 'lazy day'.... it just happened.   It was a nice enough morning, but any time I went out, which wasn't often) the cauld air hit, and that was that.   Stayed in and warm from then on.   Well nor quite;  I went round 'The Ferry in the car, just after the rain came on at 14.00.   Funnily enough that was the only time I went out, and  didn't start coughing!   Anyway I've enjoyed having a lazy day;  I'll be a bundle of action tomorrow.

It's going to be  brighter tomorrow, with light rain in the afternoon.   Tuesday looks like being bonnie day,  and a good drying day.   I'll get the Buggy' out!

Ferry Road is busy this afternoon;  and it isn't the weather that's bringing them out;   it's wet and miserable now.   I'm going to have a cuppa and catch up with the Olympics.

20.00     Team GB (Weston / Stoecker) won the Gold Medal in the Mixed Skeleton;  my word it was exciting.   Matt Weston was the last competitor to race and needed to do something remarkable to win the Gold Medal;  and he did!   Team GB (Bankes / Nightingale) also won Gold  in the mixed snowboard final.   It had been an exciting afternoon.

It's raining  heavily just now; (I was checking to see if I need to put out the paper bin, but I don't).... and

I thought it was going to be a bonnier day tomorrow!    Actually there's a Yellow Warning (possible) for frost in Fife, so the rain must be clearing away by morning.   I'll se what the morning brings;  it certainly doesn't look frosty just now.

Today's photographs : Top - Spring can't be far away;  Ivy Cottage snowdrops.    Middle : wet afternoon,  and Bottom : a peaceful scene.
