Nice morning ....
17th February 2026 (Tuesday) 09.00 .... It's a lovely, sunny, morrrrrrrrrning, but there's a
chilly breeze from the Northerly direction. There's a Yellow Warning for ice, especially in places sheltered from the sun. However it should be be warm sheltered from that breeze. I'll have another cuppa then head off to Leven and Methil.17.15 We've had a lovely sunny day at Elie and Earlsferry; but it has been cold. There are places, that don't get the early sun on the Leven Road, so there was was ice on the puddles and wet bits of the road. Most people were driving carefully, so it was an enjoyable drive this morning.
After a cuppa at the 'Alice HQ' we went to Sainsbury's to get the bit's and pieces we wanted, then across to B & M's to get candle bulbs for the light I bought last week. My breathing has been uncomfortable today, due to the drop in temperature. Alice went into B & M's; I sat in the car and had a puff oh the blue inhaler.
It looks like being a cold night, and cold again tomorrow, in fact there's a cold warning out for vulnerable elderly people (that's not 'me') so I'll be staying in and warm tonight... and tomorrow. I'll go to Elie for the papers in the afternoon .... and the Chemist for my prescription. I'm thinking of doing a small washing; but that all depends on the weather.
We'd bought the ingredients to have an 'indoor picnic' at Alice HQ, so we bumbled our way back to the HQ, where Alice proceeded to turn the ingredients into desirable 'food'. I sat and 'drooled' like an old mutt! I'm likin' indoor picnics!
The roads were busier on the way home from Methil, but it was a nice day and I enjoyed driving for a
change. I was back home, car unloaded and shopping put away, the TV on and asleep by 13.50. I woke up in time to watch the Men's Nordic Relay with shooting. I'm amazed at how the competitors can control their breathing when they get to the range; it's not as if they take a minute to calm down. Brilliant stuff.21.30 I have no 'plan' for tomorrow; the cold will keep my in most of the time. It's not to be as sunny as it was today. It's Horlick's time.
