Nice morning ....

16th February 2026 (Monday)     09.00 .... After light  rain during the night, we have a clearing

sky with sunny spells now.   There's a moderate breeze from the NW so it is chilly.   However, 'light rain' is forecast;  but that could miss us and give us a nice, warm  Spring afternoon!    I'm haven't made a 'plan' for today;  it depends on how frisky I feel after another cuppa.

11.00    I've been down to the harbour to get a few photographs to 'play' with in the evening;  and I got a few photos of the storm damaged sea wall at Chapel Green House.   The house is far enough back to be safe.    Storms off the Southeast are always the most damaging;  as can be seen by all remains of the 'Pilgrim's Pier'... a "rickle o' stanes".

15.00    It's a bonnie Spring day now;   and warm in the sun.    Ferry Road has been busy with holiday makers:  some of them families with children (and dogs) so this must be 'half term'.   It's a nice day for being on holiday.   Or even being .... retired!   However, the sky is clouding over, and the air colder, so the 'light rain' is on it's way!

I haven't done any 'work' today;  other than go to the harbour to get a few photographs to 'play' with later.    The weather is going to be unsettled, most of this week, so today is a sort of 'blip'.   Anyway it's too cold for me doing windows!

The window cleaner has been doing Airlie's windows:  this had me thinking (fleetingly) that I should do mine.   I'll look out the equipment and do them ..... tomorrow.    Maybe!
I feel that I deserve an afternoon coffee, and a goodie, after after convincing myself that doing the windows today, was not a good idea!

22.30    The 'Master Plan' for tomorrow is to go to Leven and Methil.   I bought a table lamp and discovered that it needs a bulb with a different fitting so I'll get that tomorrow.   We'll do some other shopping when in Leven.

I've been watching the Ice Dance  pairs skating from Milan.   Me skate? .....I couldn't even stand up on ice;  do certainly couldn't actually skate!     That said;  if the pavement is icy in the morning I might  do a triple salchow, to set me up for the day.   I liked the Japaneses lassie's hairstyle -  it was simple but bonnie in a different kind of way.   Oh... the Japaneses pair won the Gold Medal.

Today's photies:  Top - storm damaged wall at Chapel Green House.    Middle - 'The Terrace' Elie from
The Toft;  and Bottom :  Chapel Green House wall on the morning Chris (Mennie) told me about the damage.   It was taken on a wet morning do not very clear.
