Overcast with a cauld breeze ....

6th January 2025 (Monday)     08.15 .... it isn't raining just now, but the air is bitterly cold;  I

won't be venturing far from the kettle switch today!   There's still an active Yellow Warning for snow and ice until midday.   The Upper Largo Weather cam shows a snow covered Largo Law.   'Blob' has been fed.... now it's my turn.   I had a strange dream last night;   Sheila (formerly Craw's Nest) and I  were in a group trekking up to the Makalu base camp!   Sheila was wearing high heels!  I don't know where that dream came from;  I struggle to get up to the Pony Field!

20.00  After morning coffee I decided to  go the harbour for a run in the car.    The sand was being cleared off the road at the Toft but the road wasn't bust and they were letting traffic through.    At that time the sun was threatening to break through so it wasn't too cold.... but I didn't hang about.  I took a few harbour photos then came home by way of Balbuthie and Kinneuchar.   That was the only time I was 'out'.   The sky clouded over, and it turned cold, with rain arriving about 16.30;  though that never came to much.   Apart from making me feel colder!
Sunny intervals with a moderate breeze is our weather for tomorrow:  it will be healthier, but not warm because of the wind chill.   That said we can't complain because the daylight hours are lengthening, (though we hardly notice it because of the cloud), and Spring isn't far away!

22.15    'Ocean Valiant'  (the platform that used to be seen in the background of the Beacon photo) has been moved, and I haven't found her anywhere on the on the 'Marine Traffic' app. so she must be out of range of land based receiving stations.   I'll have another search session tomorrow.
