Nice morning .....

9th January 2025 (Thursday)    09.30 ..... It's a frosty morrrrrning,  "sunny with a moderate

Northerly breeze" is the weather forecast, so it's not going to be warm.  Which is, more or less, how it should be at this time of year.  I doubt if I'll be going far today, but might go as far as the beach in the middle of the day.  'Blob' has been fed, now it's my turn.   I'm hoping the sun will melt the ice on the car windscreen, but it has a bank of cloud to climb over first!   Sunrise was at 08.40.

19.15   I had to move the car this morning, because the workmen (Airlie) were getting a delivery that involved lifting the materials over by lorry mounted crane.   I thought (not something I often do), "if I'm moving the car I might as do something with it";  so I went to Colinsburgh Filling Station.   From there I decided to go to 'The Store' and do some shopping.   Doing all that would give the workmen time to take the delivery.   And this would give the car a decent run in this cold weather.   At first the Store was quiet, but it must have been lunch time for the Waid pupils because the shop was suddenly busy..   However I was going through the checkout so didn't hinder any pupils desperate to get back to their 'lessons'!

On the way home I had another change of 'plan':  I'd go to the West Braes car park in Pittenweem to take a few photos.   The first thing I noticed was that we now have some 'Bloo Badge' Parking spaces which is very handy.   The West Braes is exposed so I didn't go far;  but was happy with the photos I got.   By the time I got back to Ivy the workmen were finished and I moored up at the gate to unload the wee bit shopping.

22.15    Once this cold spell is past I'll go to the West Braes and 'walk' down to West Shore and the harbour (Pittenweem).   I've had a reasonably busy day, and I'm reasonably content at the end of it.    Tonight is forecast to be really cold, followed by another cold day tomorrow.   I'm going to set the heating at 18 and leave it on overnight.   That way the air should be comfortably warm for the auld tubes.   Must go;  'slight flap on'.... got the 'orlicks to make!
