Bonnie, crisp morrrrrrrrrrrrning .....

2nd January 2025 (Thursday)    09.45 .... It's a 'play day'!    We have a beautiful sunny morning: 

actually, it's that long since we had a morning like this I've almost forgotten what to do on sunny mornings!    The auld ... er ... mature bones are stirring, and want to do stuff.   I'll drag 'dem bones' down to the beach (or up to the seat at the 17th green) once the sun is high in the sky.... and warm on the delicate skin.   Do I need sun cream?   I don't think so;  but I do need food.   We are a happy, playful heap o'  bones this morning!.... once they all click into place I'll be ready to 'go'!

12.00    That's it;  the decorations are down .... the Festive Season is done  and .... not quite dusted, but I'm thinking about it!     

The golf course is 'Closed' because of the frost, so there wisnae any point in going up to the seat at the 17th;  the golfing action that I'd hoped to get isn't  happening.   I louped into the car instead, and had a run up to Kinneuchar;  It's a cracker of a mornin' and I am tempted tm take the bike round The Ferry.... but won't because of the cold air;   I'll have a walk to the beach after a light lunch instead.

22.30    It was a too cold and breezy for me.... so I didn't go to the beach.   That was a bit of luck because Bob and Anne dropped in for a blether.   They go back to Edinburgh tomorrow.   After they went off home I decided to back up all my 2024 photographs, onto three external hard drives.  That job took a wee while bit it's done and the computer clear of the 2024  photos.  And it's working faster!

Since then I've had a migraine (weather) and haven't done very much.   That said, the weather has been really lovely but cold.   Tomorrow is going to be much the same; two sunny days in succession?.... that's almost a summer!   Pity aboot the temperature!   The forecast for the weekend is a bit 'iffy';  but we could have an interesting sky. Yellow warnings for overnight and early morning ice;  Monday looks like being the worst day with a yellow warning for snow.   We could have interesting clouds!

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good l...

Lovely, fresh morning ....

6th August 2024 (Tuesday)    10.30 .... it's a beautiful morning, with a nice fresh breeze.... if only I Aldershot 1958. could go out on the bike!   Anyway... forget dreamin';  today is my appointment with the Consultant, at Queen Margaret Hospital (Dunfermline);.... and I'm hoping to find out what the 'plan' is.   Michael and Janice are out in the car.... shopping.   They should be back in about an hour or so.    I've tidied up the kitchen and will now have a cuppa while watching some of the action from Paris.  22.00    This is more like summer.... in fact I could get to like this weather.      Michael and Janice went up to Cupar in the morning, while I got myself organized  for the Queen Margaret appointment.   Michael and Janice arrived back with lunch, Fisher and Donaldson macaroni pies, with FD's for sweet.   We set off for Dunfermline in plenty of time and arrived with t...
