Sunny and warm ....

28th May 2026 (Thursday)      09.00 .... WE have a lovely, sunny and warm, morning, with a light

breeze from the SE.   The air is already warm so it's going to be hot in the afternoon.     It looks like being a 'rest' day for me.   That said the breeze should make it bearable.    Anyway the weather is due to change tomorrow, with the wind veering to the SW.

17.15    Joyful 'me'!    The weather has been sunny all day with a fresh SE win:  Actually it would be cool on the beach, but it was warm sheltered from the wind.     I've had a busy day;  not a hard working one, but one that had me doing something useful.   Sasha, and Nicola (daughter and Mum), came to find out what I knew about local erosion;  this was for a project she is doing at school.   I don't know if I was much help, but I enjoyed talking to them about Elie and Earlsferry.     Erosion? .... I think we mentioned something about that, now and again.    Anyway I had an enjoyable morning reminiscing if nothing else!   Sasha and Nicola? ... they are both good listeners!   Thanks for putting up with me girls;  I enjoyed your company!

What else have I done today?    Not very much actually!   I did a small washing, and, With the wind freshening and being from the SE I didn't go out anywhere.   However, I went up to The Hutte to do a Soduko;  and contemplate the state of the World.

The Soduko was easy.   The World?.... not so easy, but I eventually  came to the conclusion, that President Trump is the first American President to increase the  the cost of living for most people on the planet!  All part of  of 'Making America Great Again' I guess!   But an awfie strange way of doing it.

Iain is coming down this weekend;  we're going to sort out the bedrooms.    Michael and Janice are coming up from 'Sunny Sussex' next month.   They will be glad of the cooler temperatures that we have in Scotland.    It was hot this afternoon in The Hutte.... and that was with the door open.

The wind is to be from the Southwest tomorrow;  bringing  a change with the weather for the next few
days:  including the chance of rain    That reminds me;  I have the tubs to water.    Anyway I have had an enjoyable day;  and I'm looking forward to the change in wind direction.   It means better breathing conditions for me.   Not very keen on dry East winds.
Today's photographs:  Top and Middle - the lilac tree.    It's the first time it has had a decent number of flowers on it.    Bottom - Michael.
