Nice morning ....

10th July 2025 (Thursday)    08.45 .... at the moment we have some cloud, but "sunny, with a

moderate breeze (W)" is our weather forecast, so it's going to be sunny and warm/hot;  with High UV, and pollen counts and low pollution level (actually the pollution level depends on the amount of traffic).

I have to go to the Skeith Centre (Anstruther) at some point today, so might have a run to Crail, then home by the 'back roads'. 

18.30    It has been a lovely sunny (and warm) day;  and I was busy in the morning.   I went to the Skeith Centre, and 'The Store' as per plan.   The run to Crail had to be cancelled.   Why? ..... because I'd forgotten to bring the bag with the camera, and mobile phone etc. in it.   So it was a shorter mission, than I'd been looking forward to.   And I found out that I have to go to the Skeith Centre tomorrow; to have my catheter changed.   Had I checked the calendar I'd have known that!   Oh well;  at least I know the road.

It's a bonnie, warm evening, so I'm going to get the bike out and take a turn up to Chapel green for a wee bit exercise.   It was too hot for me going out in the afternoon.

21.30    It was brilliant at Chapel Green;  the villages looked bonnie (as they do) in the evening sunlight.   Gannets were feeding in the bay but, although I got photographs, the Gannets were too far away for the photies to be of much use.  I dumped most of them.

Valerie came past, out for an evening walk, and we chatted about 'wildlife' things around Elie and Earlsferry.  Swifts and other birds etc.

Tomorrow is going to be another warm sunny and warm day, with a light Westerly breeze at first.... but backing to the East later.   It's to be ot in the afternoon.   I'm having a 'rest day';  the only mission being the Skeith Centre after lunch.   

There's a slight problem with this warm and dry weather;  I have to water the tubs!    In fact they'll have

to be watered every evening during this hot dry spell.   It's good exercise, and the flooers look bonnie so it's well worth the wee bit effort.

You can just make out the gannets feeding in the photograph.   There was a heat haze that spoiled the focus, so a frustrating session really.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Quiet morning ....

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Nice morning .....

4th January 2024 (Saturday)    09.15 .... The car windscreens is clear, the washing I left out Shona huggin' a huge Kilbrackmont tree! overnight is flapping about in the breeze, and my breathing easier.   The sky is mostly cloudy just now, but our weather forecast for today is "sunny intervals with a gentle breeze".    There's a Yellow Warning for snow active from midnight tonight through to midday on Monday;  though I imagine it will more likely be sleet, or rain,  for us.   'Sunny Sussex' and most of the South of England is covered by an Amber Warning for snow today, so most of the UK is likely to see snow at some point over the next few days. 20.00    Although not the best of drying days the washing was nearly dry by the end of the afternoon.   Earlier in the afternoon I'd gone to Methil to annoy Alice.  We had a cuppa before going shopping.  We went to Sainsbury's they have 'everything' and are trying ...
